Virtual Networking: Let’s talk about MarTech – Cocktails in the Greenroom

By Briana Bronchick

You’re not alone if you’re craving connections and some virtual networking. There is so much to learn from each other.

Our first virtual happy hour in May had over 120 marketers attend. We’re continuing the conversation this Thursday, August 27, on the area of marketing technology (MarTech) and how we’ve been doing during these uncertain times.

You can learn a lot about brands by paying attention to marketing during a pandemic. Which brands can adapt…changing on a moment’s notice? Who is engaging consumers in the most authentic ways?

42 percent of marketers say their marketing teams lacked the bandwidth to quickly adapt to shifting priorities and creating new content, according to an April 2020 study by Sirkin Research, commissioned by NewsCred.

Now that we are months into the pandemic, we know this is all part of the job, but we’re still adapting every day.

That’s why AMA New York is hosting a series of virtual happy hours and industry-specific panels for you to connect with marketers in different cities. Join us this Thursday, August 27, from 6 pm to 7:30 pm, for Cocktails in the Greenroom: MarTech Virtual Happy Hour.

We know you may be in virtual meetings all day, every day. This event comes with a signature drink, a mAI tAI cocktail or mocktail, and we’re going beyond happy hour to ensure you build deeper, more meaningful connections with small group conversations and have focused, impactful conversations. We’re planning for lively breakout sessions that will focus on the MarTech industry and what lies ahead in the coming months.

Network with peers, talk about the current MarTech landscape, and gain new strategies and ideas. This virtual happy hour is an opportunity to stay connected to AMA New York members and meet other marketing professionals from chapters in North Carolina, Austin, DC, and San Francisco. This event is free and available to members and non-members.

So don’t forget to reserve your spot for this Thursday’s virtual networking happy hour! A huge thank you to our partner GreenBook for making this event happen and to AMA Austin, AMA Triangle, and AMA Washington DC for co-organizing this event with us.
